The Philosophy Department employs philosophy students called levinson ambassadors in which at least one of these ambassadors holds office/peer support hours weekly. You may find working with peers to be easier or more appraochable rather than talking with your professors. You may find the ambassadors’ availability listed online here.
Peer tutors
If the availibilities of levinson ambassadors do not quite match up then you can also try to search on the Knack tutoring service to find peers who may assist you in not just philosophy but any subject you can think of. However, if this also not not work for you, then you may try to create a study group with your classmates, or find a friend to help you out.
Advising
Often you may check the syllabus to see a professor’s office hours and unfortunately sometimes they may not align with your schedule. However, most professors are quite flexible and if you reach out to your professor you can easily set up an appointment.
