The Philosophy Department employs philosophy students called Levinson Ambassadors, in which at least one of these ambassadors holds office/peer support hours weekly. You may find working with peers easier or more approachable than talking with your professors.
Peer tutors
If the availabilities of Levinson Ambassadors do not quite match up, you can also try to search on the Knack tutoring service to find peers who may assist you in philosophy and any subject you can think of. However, if this also does not work for you, you may try to create a study group with your classmates or find a friend to help you.
Advising
Often, you may check the syllabus to see a professor’s office hours, and unfortunately, sometimes, they may not align with your schedule. However, most professors are pretty flexible; you can easily schedule an appointment if you reach out to your professor.
