Serving with Honor!

Our Service Project Goals

As part of our core values, our members are fully committed to serving the University of Maine community; as well as the local, regional, and national communities.concrete with chalk writing 'We do Maine Day Everyday!'

One of our main goals is to work closely with the Bodwell Center and the Black Bear Exchange to ensure that our resident and student populations have the resources they need to be healthy and successful. In addition, we are hoping to hold at least one small service project at each of our bi-weekly meetings.

Something that sets us apart from other service groups, is that we fund and staff student designed service projects. If you or a friend have been putting off a service project you are passionate about due to the lack of resources available, we want to provide you with the resources to make it possible! To request resources for a service project fill out the Service Project Proposal Form below. We are able to provide funding, staff, and proposal suggestions.

As an NRHH chapter, we want to empower the student leaders of our community while giving back to the community. For this reason, our service projects are all designed by our members and the students of the UMaine community.

RHC Development

In addition to community based service projects, we will be directly serving the resident population on our campus by helping the Residence Hall Association organize Residence Hall Councils (RHC).

We plan on helping organize RHCs by answering any questions for the members or professional staff, staffing RHC programs as needed, and connecting all RHCs together for larger and more impactful programming.

Through these efforts, we hope to provide all residents with the resources they need for a successful year, while also fostering a community of strong leaders!
