News Center interviews Ferrini-Mundy on how COVID-19 impacted higher education
News Center Maine interviewed University of Maine President Joan Ferrini-Mundy about the long-term impact of COVID-19 on higher education, as well as the lessons learned from that period of time. “We shouldn’t underestimate ourselves as a community. We didn’t fall apart. We had hard moments, we had a lot of disagreements, but we did come together,” Ferrini-Mundy said, “it’s really key to the University of Maine that we are, as Robert Dana always used to say, ‘a kind, caring, and compassionate community,’ and it showed during those years.”
