University of Maine Press publishes Hornsby’s book on cod fishery and its cultural impact
Stephen J. Hornsby, a University of Maine professor of geography and Canadian studies, has published a book with University of Maine Press that celebrates the history of cod fisheries and their impact on the cultural fabric of New England and Atlantic Canada.
“Cod Coasts: Cultural Landscapes of the Cod Fishery from Cape Cod to Labrador,” takes readers on a journey through coastal communities shaped by cod fishing and the traditions inherent to that practice. The book, which was published in November, is available for purchase online.
