BDN interviews Angelosante on student behavior post pandemic

Courtney Angelosante, coordinator of the Positive Behavior Supports & Interventions initiative at the University of Maine and University of Southern Maine, was interviewed by the Bangor Daily News on how the at-home schooling year of the COVID-19 pandemic affected students’ behavior. Angelosante said the lost year is showing up clearly in terms of how students resolve conflict and engage with each other. Regarding increased absenteeism, she said students at higher grade levels are generally more chronically absent.
