News Center interviews Dill about territorial expansion of ticks in Maine

In a story about Maine experiencing a record number of Lyme Disease cases in 2023, News Center Maine interviewed Griffin Dill, an integrated pest management specialist and director of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Tick Lab, about the territorial expansion of ticks in the state. “Deer ticks are expanding their range farther and farther north, as well as farther Down East,” Dill said. Climate change has allowed ticks to expand their range, he said.
