Camire to offer winter orchid care tips on Nov. 18
Mary Ellen Camire, a professor at the University of Maine’s School of Food and Agriculture, will share tips on caring for orchids during the winter months at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 in UMaine’s Roger Clapp Greenhouses.
Camire’s talk, “Orchid Care in Winter” will discuss winter-blooming orchids, the importance of winter rest for orchids and humidity control. The lecture, which also is part of a meeting of the Eastern Maine Orchid Society, is free and open to the public.
