Media report on record enrollment at UMaine
The Bangor Daily News, Portland Press Herald, Maine Public, WABI (Channel 5) and WVII (Channel 7) reported on the University of Maine achieving its highest enrollment in history during the fall 2021 semester. Enrollment this semester is 11,989 students, 2.1% from fall 2020, when it was 11,741 students. “We are very excited about our trends right now and how our numbers are looking, particularly in a time of a pandemic when higher ed around the country is facing a range of challenges,” said UMaine President Joan Ferrini-Mundy to the Press Herald. “The state of Maine and the University of Maine System and the University of Maine all have, I think, come through tremendously well in this period.” Yahoo!
