Phase nine COVID-19 asymptomatic testing on campus begins Sept. 7

UMaine’s phase nine, return-to-campus COVID-19 asymptomatic T3 saliva testing is Sept. 7–Dec. 14. The testing location is the ballroom on the first floor of Estabrooke Hall.

Undergraduate and graduate students and employees with an in-person presence on the UMaine campus or at a university-affiliated facility or research site who are not fully vaccinated and verified, as well as those who have a vaccination exemption, are required to participate. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine. Full vaccination is verified by uploading vaccination cards in PointNClick, the University of Maine System’s online COVID-19 portal.

Those required to participate in weekly testing will schedule their test appointment every week by logging into the PointNClick portal. T3 saliva test results are typically available within 36 hours in PointNClick.

A MaineCard is required at the weekly testing appointments.

Fully vaccinated and verified members of the UMaine community also can participate in the on-campus asymptomatic testing.

Being fully vaccinated with vaccination information uploaded to PointNClick exempts members of the UMaine community from phase nine weekly testing.
