News Center talks with Evans about Ph.D. research, Maine wildlife
News Center Maine spoke with Bryn Evans, a Ph.D. student in the Wildlife, Fisheries and Conservation Biology program at the University of Maine, about her network of 120 motion sensor cameras that have been documenting the state’s wildlife at nearly 200 locations. Evans, who plans to graduate in December 2021, hopes to capture 1 million images before then. Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is considering continuing her work for the next 25 years to assess long-term wildlife trends in the state.
