Diamond talks with WVII about alums’ contributions to Maine economy
WVII (Channel 7) talked with John Diamond, president and CEO of the University of Maine Alumni Association, about the findings from a recent study of the impact of UMaine alumni on the state’s economy. “The amount of money that the state is putting into Orono education is being paid for and then some annually by the alumni,” said Diamond. The Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center conducted the survey to document the significant contributions of UMaine alumni to the state. Additional data will be published as the six-part study continues.
