WABI speaks with Diamond about launch of new civil rights speaker series
WABI (Channel 5) talked with John Diamond, president and CEO of the University of Maine Alumni Association, for coverage of a Martin Luther King Jr. Day webinar co-hosted by the Alumni Association and the Greater Bangor Area Branch of the NAACP. During the webinar, “Being Black in Maine: Lived Experience and the Prospect for Change,” Diamond announced the fall launch of the Robert Talbot Civil Rights Speakers Series. The Boothbay Register and the Bangor Daily News previously advanced the Zoom event honoring Martin Luther King Jr. WVII also reported on the webinar.
