Media advance webinar about importance of Black Studies in higher education
The Penobscot Bay Pilot and Centralmaine.com promoted an upcoming webinar, “Black Studies in 21st Century Higher Education,” scheduled for 6 p.m. on Jan. 28. The free Zoom event, which is co-sponsored by the University of Maine Black Student Union and the University of Maine Alumni Association, will feature Sonia Sanchez and John Bracey, co-founders of the 1970s movement advocating for Black studies.
