WVII talks with Anderson about worst year in history
WVII (Channel 7) interviewed Joel Anderson, a University of Maine assistant professor of history, about whether 2020 was the worst year in history. According to Anderson, previous pandemics have been more challenging. “1348 was the year the Bubonic Plague, Black Death ravaged Europe pretty substantially, wiping out something like 50–60% of Europe’s population,” Anderson said.
