UMaine UVote student ambassadors argue youth ‘are the present’ in BDN column
The Bangor Daily News published a column by Michael Delorge and Julia Whinston, University of Maine undergraduate students and UMaine UVote ambassadors, about youth voting. In a column invited by the Scholars Strategy Network, the pair argued that young voters have the motivation and the numbers to elevate issues such as college debt, climate change and racial equity, and to promote national unity through voting.
