Munson to discuss US influence on Iraq, Iran relations in Nov. 5 talk

Henry Munson, a University of Maine professor emeritus of anthropology and author of “Islam and Revolution in the Middle East,” will offer a free Zoom presentation, How the US Turned Iraq into Iran’s Client State: The Unintended Consequences of a Myopic Foreign Policy, 4:30–6 p.m. Nov. 5. 

The talk, which will highlight U.S. actions that solidified an anti-American partnership between Iraq and Iran, is hosted by The Center for Middle Eastern Studies and the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University.
