Republican Journal advances Hutchinson Center prison art exhibit
The Republican Journal advanced an art exhibit at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center’s H. Allen and Sally Fernald Art Gallery that features works created by inmates at the Maine State Prison in Warren. “From Behind the Wall 2.0” will feature paintings, fine furniture and sculpture and will be on display June 4–Aug. 30, the Republican Journal reported. A free public reception for the exhibit will be held 5:30–7 p.m. June 4 at the gallery. The exhibit is supported by The Art Loft of Rockland, a nonprofit community art center, the article states.
