UMaine to host ‘Dawnland’ documentary screening Oct. 29

The University of Maine will host the Orono premiere of the critically acclaimed documentary “Dawnland” at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29.

The showing will be held in 100 D.P. Corbett Business Building. Filmmakers and film participants are expected to attend.

“Dawnland” is a documentary about cultural survival and stolen children — inside the first truth and reconciliation commission for Native Americans. It is directed by Adam Mazo and Ben Pender-Cudlip. More about the film is online.
