Through all of this, Mandel remains committed to his first love — stand-up comedy, the article states. “It’s like I’m at this great party and I’m the center of attention,” he said. “Sure, I have this plethora of material, but I’m not attached to it. I’m always looking for any opportunity to be taken off the beaten path.
