WVII reports on Emera Astronomy Center’s educational programs

WVII (Channel 7) reported the Emera Astronomy Center at the University of Maine hosts educational and entertaining screenings about the universe. The center, which opened in 2014, has an observatory where spectators can view the night sky, as well as a domed theater where visitors of all ages can take in a variety of shows, WVII reported. “We’re very lucky to have this tool,” said Shawn Laatsch, director of the Emera Astronomy Center and Maynard F. Jordan Planetarium. “There’s not a lot of places that have a digital planetarium like ours.” A full program schedule is on the center’s website.
