Washington Post mentions Flagship Match in article on enrollment challenges

The University of Maine was mentioned in a Washington Post article about many small colleges around the country facing enrollment drops. UMaine, in a state where the number of high school graduates has fallen 9 percent since 2011, offered admission to some out-of-state students at the same price they would have paid to attend their home flagship public universities, the article states. For the fall semester, the Flagship Match tuition scholarship program has brought in more than 1,000 new students from other New England states, as well as California, Illinois, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, The Washington Post reported.
