Students mark start of Black History Month, media report
The Bangor Daily News, WLBZ (Channel 2), WABI (Channel 5) and WVII (Channel 7)covered an opening ceremony at the University of Maine to mark the beginning of Black History Month. The Office of Multicultural Student Life is celebrating throughout the month with events such as film screenings, talks and presentations. “Together we are unified and stronger,” said Robert Dana, UMaine’s vice president for student life and dean of students, who spoke at the event. “We’re all coming together to exercise our voice — all races, all faiths, all ethnicities, are together.”
