Zollitsch’s adventures featured on Bill Green’s Maine
Reinhard Zollitsch, University of Maine associate professor emeritus of German, was featured on Bill Green’s Maine on WCSH6. Zollitsch, 77, bicycled 2,000 miles in Europe and has paddled the Maine Island Trail and paddled (in reverse) Samuel de Champlain’s 1609 trek that included Lake Champlain and the St. Lawrence River. Zollitsch has completed more than a dozen 100-mile paddling adventures and has a website about his travels. “Too old is an attitude and attitudes are never good,” Zollitsch told Green.
