Sorority holds annual cystic fibrosis fundraiser, WVII reports

WVII (Channel 7) covered a University of Maine sorority’s annual Cystic Fibrosis Carnival. All proceeds from Delta Phi Epsilon’s event — more than $1,000 — went to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, according to the report. Courtney May, president of the sorority, said raising money for the cause is important. “People are living longer than the statistic which is 45 right now,” she said of those with cystic fibrosis. “And in my lifetime that’s risen by 20 years alone. So it’s great to see that there’s progress and just finding ways to make people live longer.”
