Black Bear Exchange, the University of Maine’s food pantry and clothing swap, was mentioned in a Bangor Daily News article about students and organizations working to end food insecurity on college campuses. In 2009, UMaine created the Black Bear Exchange, which is supported by local student and staff food drives, according to the article.
