WVII covers museum’s Winter Art Factory
WVII (Channel 7) reported on the Winter Art Factory held at the University of Maine Museum of Art (UMMA) in downtown Bangor. The art-making event included several stations for wrapping, creating ornaments and other seasonal projects. The family-friendly event was free and open to the public. “We try and get everybody of all ages because not only does it make you happy, release some stress, it also really helps with cognitive thought,” said Kat Johnson, education coordinator at UMMA, adding some of the activities include more complicated origami folding and embroidery.
