Professor Emeritus Alan Langille Passes Away

Alan Langille, who joined the University of Maine’s Plant and Soil Sciences Department as an assistant professor in 1967, passed away April 19, 2015. Langille spent 39 years at UMaine, retiring in 2006. During the last decade of his career, he taught and developed a field research program in turfgrass science, establishing UMaine as an official site for the National Turfgrass Evaluation Program, according to his obituary.
