Business School Lecturer Wins Award for Legal Work
Martha Broderick, a UMaine senior lecturer of business and commercial law, received last week the Lew Vafiades Pro Bono Award for her work at the Penobscot County Bar Association Legal Aid Clinic, according to a Bangor Daily News report. Broderick, a lawyer who lives in Lincoln and was mentored by Vafiades when he was alive, volunteers an average of three hours a month. She works with clients who have been screened for financial eligibility.
