Report On Wind Power Ruling
The Village Soup website reported a Superior Court judge rejected arguments by an environmental activist that the state had failed to meet laws and guidelines in its selection of a site off Monhegan Island for a demonstration wind power project, in which UMaine’s AEWC Advanced Structures and Composites Center is involved. The UMaine-led DeepCwind Consortium will test a scale model of a floating offshore wind turbine next summer at the Monhegan site.
