Policy Center Survey Noted In Editorial
A Bangor Daily News editorial about the proposition of a Maine Woods National Park noted the results of a survey conducted by the UMaine-based Margaret Chase Smith Center for Public Policy. The survey, conducted among residents and business owners in Piscataquis County, found among other results that most respondents would like their town to become a tourism destination, but most said tourism doesn’t provide the kind of jobs needed in the region.
