Slagger schedules Native drumming workshop June 11

Ta’ pit/David Slagger, a UMaine graduate who earned a master’s degree in Maine Studies with a concentration in Wabanaki Studies last month, will present a Native American drum-making workshop at Hirundo Wildlife Refuge in Alton Saturday June 11, 10 a.m.-12 noon.  Slagger, a member of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians, has served in a variety of roles as a Native American educator and cultural liaison over the past 20 years.
