Mount Desert Islander features Lee event about food waste
The Mount Desert Islander shared that Susanne Lee, faculty fellow of the University of Maine’s Mitchell Center for Sustainability, will present about what can be done in the home to reduce food waste, what the necessary resources are to produce food and the impact of food waste on the environment.
The event is at La Rochelle Mansion and Museum, 127 West St. at 2 p.m. on Sept. 8. This presentation is one of the monthly programs offered by the Bar Harbor Garden Club to the public, but nonmembers are requested to make a reservation by emailing president@barharborgardenclub.org or by calling 207.460.8496.
