NEST Online Storytelling Site Goes Live
Safe Beaches, Shellfish, and You is an online storytelling site that focuses on the work of the New England Sustainability Consortium, or NEST. The NEST team is a group of researchers from colleges and universities across Maine and New Hampshire seeking to contribute to the sustainability of the region. The Mitchell Center is the lead organization for NEST at the University of Maine. The goal of the first project, Safe Beaches and Shellfish, is to enhance the use of science in decision-making in the beach and shellfish industries in the region. This website explores the work of NEST in the context of sustainability. It uses written reporting, photos, videos, audio, and interactive visuals to provide opportunities for engagement. It also includes additional resources related to the project and more information on how you can get involved with NEST partner organizations or other sustainability projects, no matter where you live.
