The primary goal of this workshop is to provide graduate students an opportunity to communicate with stakeholders by creating an open space where they can meet and share ideas about current and future research related to Maine’s living marine resources.
Outreach and collaboration are some of the most vital aspects of the research and service mission of the University of Maine. We hope to progress this mission by facilitating the exchange of ideas between graduate students and stakeholders concerning ongoing graduate student research and the needs of industry collaborators. Research about living marine resources flourishes by including multiple perspectives in a collaborative approach.
This event is intended to create a participatory environment that allows all who attend to have an active role and build a free exchange of ideas between graduate student researchers, industry members, and agency stakeholders. The workshop design encourages participants to provide constructive feedback on graduate student projects and share insights about the resources being studied.
