Transition Planning: The Parent’s Role “Let’s think outside of the box”

November 14, 2015

Collaborative conference for parents and professionals, sponsored by the Autism Society of Maine, Maine Parent Federation, GEAR Parent Network and the Adoptive & Foster Families of Maine.

Sign-in begins at 8am and sessions conclude at 4pm.

This all day conference will inform parents and professionals about the various transitions children and youth experience while living with behavioral and mental health needs. The workshops will have you thinking “outside the box” as you learn unique and creative ways to work through those, sometimes difficult milestones.

Keynote speakers: Jane and Jesse Bell
Jane and Jesse, mother and son, will share their experience in planning for the future for Jesse. Jane and Jesse looked “far outside the box” to develop a successful transition plan to assist Jesse to live independently.
