This workshop focuses on using the Social Thinking Methodology and Social Competency Model to anchor the “why” and the “how” to help our most vulnerable social learners. Participants will be provided with state-of-the-art information to promote social engagement, self-awareness, self-regulation, and organized thinking through the lens of the social mind in action. This “Coffee with Cathy” workshop is offered by the Autism Society of Maine (ASM) and will be facilitated by Cathy Dionne, Director of ASM.
Nancy Clements is a speech language pathologist and Executive Director of Social Thinking Boston®, the East
Coast sister clinic to Social Thinking Stevens Creek and Social Thinking Santa Clara. She brings her highly creative
approach to her clinical practice, where she maintains a very active and varied caseload ranging from early social
learners through adults.
