The Autism Society of Maine (ASM) is pleased to invite you to be a part of this opportunity to exchange ideas, resources and knowledge that will inspire hope and innovation for those who live and work with individuals with autism.
This free, day-long conference includes a morning presentation “You can’t Make Me: Proactive Strategies for Positive Behavioral Change’ with Dr. James Ball, Ed.D., BCBA-D, afternoon break-out sessions, and Vendor tables with information and resources to support families impacted by autism.
Breakout sessions include:
- The Use of Video Modeling for Learners with Autism (Dr. James Ball)
- Sexuality and Autism (Deborah Rooks, Ellis, Ph.D., Director, Maine Autism Institute for Education and Research, Assistant Professor, University of Maine)
- Supported Decision-making as an Alternative to Guardianship (Carrie Woodcock, Executive Director, Maine Parent Federation)
- Adults with ASD Panel Discussion (facilitated by Cathy Dionne, Executive Director, ASM)
