Book Reading by Susan Poulin

September 18, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Actress, author, and storyteller Susan Poulin will be reading from her book, The Sweet Life: Ida LeClair’s Guide to Love and Marriage, at the Franco-American Centre.

Monday, September 18
6:00pm
Crossland Hall, Franco-American Centre

In her latest “self-help” book, Poulin returns to the fictional Maine town of Mahoosuc Mills and the oh-so-familiar world of popular character Ida LeClair as she offers advice on how to keep relationships fresh and life as sweet, simple, and easy as possible.

Susan Poulin introduced the ground-breaking stage character Ida LeClair in the original 1997 stage production, Ida: Woman Who Runs With the Moose, for which she won Seacoast Media Group’s Spotlight on the Arts Award for Best Play and Best Actress. Since her initial success, Poulin has written two books, Finding Your Inner Moose and The Sweet Life as her alter-ego, and penned additional stage plays, including Ida’s Havin’ a Yard Sale and A Very Ida Christmas. She also writes the popular humor blog, Just Ask Ida, and her vocal stylings can be heard regularly on her podcast of the same name. Over the past two decades, she has entertained thousands of people from Maine to Minneapolis with her unique brand of wit and wisdom.

This event is sponsored by the Franco-American Centre and Franco American Studies Program.
