Maine Association of Broadcasters Names 2020-2021 MAB Scholars

The Maine Association of Broadcasters (MAB) recently announced the awarding of scholarship support to six University of Maine undergraduates.  The 2020-2021 Maine Association of Broadcasters Scholars are:

  • Peter Alexander: a second-year student majoring in communication with a minor in leadership studies from Rockland, Maine.
  • Devin Daigneault: Journalism and Theater dual major from Winslow, Maine.
  • Erin Haverty: Journalism Major with minors in both Media Studies and Marketing from Orono, Maine.
  • Jane Horovitz: fourth-year Journalism and English double major from Washington, Maine.
  • Rebekah Sands: Fourth year Journalism major and Media Studies Minor from Hampden, Maine.
  • Bhavana Scalia-Bruce: fourth year student double majoring in Spanish and Journalism from Portland, Maine.

MAB Scholarships are awarded to encourage students interested in pursuing careers in broadcasting and digital media in the state of Maine.  The MAB, in cooperation with the University of Maine’s Department of Communication and Journalism, administers the awards.  Undergraduates who are residents of Maine and interested in careers in broadcasting and/or digital media production are eligible to apply each spring.
