Welcome to the homepage for the Inauguration of University of Maine and University of Maine at Machias President Joan Ferrini-Mundy. Here you will find the most up-to-date information about the March 29, 2019 inauguration of UMaine’s 21st president, and all the events leading up to the historic event.
It is a particularly exciting time at the state’s flagship university and we look forward to having you join us for as many Inauguration Week events as possible taking place on the campuses in Orono and Machias. UMaine and UMM faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends will join community members from throughout the state and beyond to honor our new president, celebrate the breadth and depth of Maine’s research university, and explore the future of higher education and the leadership of Maine’s land grant and sea grant university.
