Leah’s 2YP Thesis, “The Rural Trans Health Research Study” involved community-engaged collaborative data collection efforts at Pride Festival’s across the state of Maine this summer. Their project will characterize health behaviors in transgender and non-binary adults across the rural state of Maine, clarifying novel minority stressors contributing to increased substance use rates. This project will give back to the community by compiling a report clarifying behavioral health trends and needs among rural trans Mainers.
