Doctoral Trainees

Recruitment for the 2024-2025 academic year is closed.

Research Assistants (RA)

Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate research assistants work closely with graduate students in the lab. Specific tasks may include assisting with literature reviews, participant recruitment, data collection, and data entry. Students who have been in the lab for more than one semester and who have demonstrated competency in their tasks may also have the opportunity to present data at the UMaine Student Symposium or larger academic conferences and assist with manuscript preparation. Qualified students may also have the opportunity to complete a capstone senior thesis project (PSY 494 or HON 499). Students are expected to commit to at least two semesters in the lab for at least 3 hours per week. UMaine students may receive course credit (PSY 492) for their work in the lab (1 credit = 3 hours) or may do so on a voluntary basis.

The Goodhines Lab is accepting RA applications for Fall 2024. Specifically, we are seeking applicants who are (a) interested in researching health disparities affecting minoritized and under-served communities and/or (b) from the state of Maine to contribute to state-specific health research. Applications from UMaine undergraduate students in years 1-3 will be prioritized. If you are interested in becoming an RA, please complete the Goodhines Lab RA Application.
