Robert D. Buchanan ’44 Alumni House
Robert D. Buchanan, a retired dentist and Caribou native, is a graduate of the University of Maine Class of 1944. The Alumni House was named in honor of Buchanan who made the naming gift of $1 million toward the new building. The Robert D. Buchanan ’44 Alumni House opened in 2002. The UMaine Alumni Association and University of Maine Foundation spearheaded the fundraising project and are now housed in building.
