A scheduled 10-minute power outage will occur at 1:45 p.m. as part of ongoing power outage repairs. The outage is needed to reverse the temporary electrical feeds that were implemented early this morning to restore power to buildings on the west side of campus.

As repairs continue on UMaine’s power system, ongoing energy conservation efforts are required campuswide.

We ask that you help us minimize electrical expenditure this week by turning off lights, equipment and devices when not in use.  While we fully understand that some individuals and facilities will not be able to reduce electrical consumption, we do ask that you unplug or turn off unused and nonessential electrical loads where practicable.
