Beginning at 1 p.m. Feb. 7, UMaine is in storm day operation. Classes scheduled for 1 p.m. or later are canceled today. Only employees designated essential in their department’s Storm Day Staffing Plan are expected to be at work after 1 p.m.

Fogler Library and New Balance Student Recreation Center will remain open, maintaining regular hours of service.

UMaine snow removal efforts will be ongoing this afternoon and throughout the night. Members of the university community are asked to refrain from coming to campus unless absolutely necessary. If you are uncertain if a scheduled UMaine activity is occurring, please call the contact number for that particular event.

Normal operations campuswide are scheduled to resume at 5 a.m. tomorrow, Feb. 8.
