Danielle Wyman – Students on the Job
Danielle Wyman, an EES senior with a forest ecosystem concentration, worked this summer at the Holt Research Forest, which is a long-term Oak-Pine study forest in Arrowsic, Maine. She also collected data that she will be able to use on her senior capstone project. Data collection included information on seed production, seedling and sapling regeneration, and timber inventory. Combining the new data collected by all the interns, and decades of past data, she hopes to identify the effects of past forest management practices, as well as plan for future harvests.
After graduating in May 2020, Danielle plans to move to the western U.S. to continue her education in natural resource management.
