Favorite course at UMaine?
I’ve had a lot of interesting classes, but one of my favorites was General Entomology. I enjoyed learning about insect taxonomy, and the course opened up some great opportunities for me!
Best hands-on experience?
In terms of academics, Field Natural History of Maine was a great hands-on experience. Spending time every week investigating local ecosystems and learning about plant identification helped me with my other courses. I also work at the Tick Lab with the Cooperative Extension and I’ve learned a lot of great lab skills through that.
