Sarah Nelson Joins EES Staff

headshot_4EES is pleased to announce that Sarah Nelson, Associate Research Professor with the Senator George J. Mitchell Center and School of Forest Resources will join the EES staff for the 2014-2015 academic year.

This fall Dr. Nelson will teach EES 117: Introduction to Ecology and Environmental Sciences. During the spring semester, Sarah will teach EES 100: Human Population and the Global Environment and EES 490: Senior Seminar.

Sarah will also advise all first year students, mentor students in internships and field studies, and provide programmatic support. “We are so happy to have Sarah join the EES staff as a professor and adviser to our students. Her participation will provide much needed continuity for our core academic courses, and her diverse, interdisciplinary scholarship in environmental sciences, citizen outreach and education, and aquatic ecology is a perfect fit for EES,” said Aram Calhoun, Director of EES.
