Personal Website

I am a Professor in the School of Earth and Climate Sciences at the University of Maine.
My current research activities include:

  • the influence of ground-water flow and solute transport in peatland  and other wetland systems,
  • carbon cycling in peatland systems,
  • python scripting for simulation and data analysis

My research usually involves applying computer simulations to better understanding field observation and test the plausibility of idealized models. I have used groundwater software developed by the U.S. Geologic Survey (Modflow with flopy and Phreeqc) to simulate ground-water processes and use the computer language ‘Python’ to manipulate data.

I currently teach courses in Environmental Geology, Hydrogeology, Python Scripting for Data Analysis, and Groundwater Modeling.

My personal website contains additional information about my research activities and the classes I teach. Feel free to contact me via e-mail (asreeve@maine.edu) if you have any questions about this work.
