Aaron Tanenbaum

Aaron Tanenbaum obtained his B.A. in Mathematics and B.S. in physics at UMaine. He worked as an undergrad researcher and then, after graduation, as a CompuMAINE lab associate for several years, participating in several on-going projects. He now works for Dr Beau Ances MD,PhD for the department of neurology at Washington University in Saint Louis School of Medicine. His lab investigates the neurological effects of HIV, Alzheimer’s, Williams Syndrome, and Encephalitis using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as our probe. His major role on the team is to develop and maintain processing pipelines to suite needs. He currently specializes in functional MRI using blood oxygen level dependent MRI (BOLD) and arterial spin labeling (ASL).
